Wow...who knew this place was here. I did a quick search for a new donut shop and this came up. These donuts rival Lamar's or any other donut in town. When I walked in there was a nice lady behind the counter and to my surprise she was making an awesome looking sandwich. Then the owner walked out and he was as nice as could be. I asked about the donuts and he put together bags for me and my kids. He proudly said his wife got up early every day for the past six years and hand made all the pastries, cakes and pies. I was excited about my donut but could not keep my eye off the sandwich station. Mmmmmm it looked good. I asked Andrew (the owner) where those rolls came from. He smiled and said his wife made those too. That cemented my coming back again that day for a sandwich. Two hours later I stopped in. $7.25 for a giant sandwich with three meats and two cheeses and the works and a soda (the selection of canned soda was huge...not just coke and pepsi) and chips. What I got was fantastic. The roll was soft. The meats were high quality and tasty. The cheese was sliced thick. This is way better than what you would get for $7.25 at McD or Subway or Jimmy Johns. Yum! Slow down when you get to the area. This place is easy to pass by...for now. If they stay in the same place for six more years I would bet they have lines out the door in the morning and at night. In one day I found my new favorite sandwich shop and donut shop...and they were both in the same place.

Vee's has the best turkey sandwiches in town. I drive clear across town to pick one up. They have a perfect blend of mayo, mustard, pickles, lettuce & tomatos..onions too if that is your thing on a bun. They come in a spicy pickle wrapper, so I dont know if they have some kind of francise agreement or what, but regardless, I'm sold!

This is a great spot hidden at 80th and Paseo. The main focus is sweet treats. Everything is made fresh. Donuts, cookies, pies, cakes. The chocolate chip pecan cookie is possibly the best. I don't know what the secret ingredient is that makes this cookie stand out, but it works! The cookies are also huge. I have also tried a long john and would highly recommend Vee's for donuts. While the focus is on the sweet treats, the sandwiches are top notch. Quality and fresh ingredients are piled high. The Reuben is a classic Reuben. Toasted rye bread, thousand island dressing, kraut, and corned beef. The beef pastrami sandwich is piled with fresh sandwich fixings. Both fantastic! I am glad u found Vee's. This will be my go to sandwich place. Bonus being a shirt walk from my home allowing me to work off the sweet treats I can't resist. Only downside is the hours. They are only open in the morning and through the day. They are open Saturdays in case you can't make it during the week. Price is great. A sandwich, canned soda, bag if chips, cookie, and a donut for breakfast the next day rings up just under $10. There are a few spots to sit, but more of a grab and go place. They also carry a small selection of groceries. Give Vee's a try. Great place to stop before a picnic in the park or on your way to work! I'm hooked!
